Ian is a third-year Bachelor of Arts and Science in Design+ student at HKU. His research interests lie at the intersection of algorithmic pattern generation and structural design. He is focused on developing insights and strategies to effectively use grammar-based decorative pattern generation engines to create structural topologies for frame structures that offer improved stiffness performance or material savings.
